Studio II

OBJECTIVE: Re-design the existing 5th floor and rooftop commercial spaces of the 5150 Wilshire Blvd building in Los Angeles to be a suitable residential space for Ms. Laurence des Cars, the director of The Louvre who will be temporarily residing here. The design must work around some historical elements of the building along with other parameters set forth by the professor. The design should be inspired by Ms. des Cars tastes as well as the Nymphéas Bleus painting by Claude Monet that she will be displaying in the residence. Another key feature should be the outdoor and rooftop garden spaces.
